Final monitor call

After much browsing and enquiries on this forum, my christmas bonus is to be one of the following:

Samsung 223bw or Samsung 226bw. I am aware of the panel lottery as regards the 226bw. I don`t want to waste any time with that here.

So, i would consider myself a casual gamer, mostly sports and driving. Don`t watch many movies on PC, mainly music DVD`s etc. Am I wasting the extra going for the 226? Is the panel any "better" in the 223, even though it is slightly slower?

Would i notice the 2 - 5ms difference with the games i play?

Coming from a 19" CRT btw.

Need to order today, as our party is on Saturday, and bonus handouts

I really like the look of the Samsungs, and they seem to suit most of my requirements. I have to admit though, I am becoming more & more tempted by the OcUK 24". I just need to check that it will fit on my desk.

For once, i actually have a rig that could run a large monitor, and i feel obliged to use that power

Just worried that it may be too big. Mind you, the quality control on the Samsungs worries me also.

Seriously guys, i have been at this for weeks. Buying a monitor used to be easy. :eek:

I must have identified 6-8 different models, only to change my mind when investigating further. Perhaps thats the problem.
