650W Enermax Infiniti Modular ATX v2.2 Psu-£111.50 --- swap for a Corsair HX 620W (its cheaper and better)
2x 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.9-£91.63 --- swap for two 7200.10 drives and RAID 0 them for better performance. (costs a few quid more which you will have saved from the psu)

Great choice on the RAM but don't forget RAM prices are low now... this doesn't mean they will be in July...

I'd pick the 7200.10s or AAKS drives instead of the 7200.9s, I'd probably just buy two DVDRWs instead of one plus a DVD-Rom. The Noctua NH-U12F is possibly a better cooler than the Zalman and finally I'm not 100% on the price drop on the CPU since it is about half price but perhaps since I haven't been paying attention. :)

Yeah actually the 7200.10's or AAKS are both great... I own 2x 320GB Seagates and they are really really great.

There was a thread regarding the July price-drops although nothing is certain I think.

Ill actually be buying most of this build in June, just the cpu im waiting till the 22nd. Thanks for the heads up on the psu, ive changed it now. About the ram, i heard the ballistix ram was the best ram about atm, any reason the g.skill is better?

G Skill do make good ram but I can't see why he wants you to switch from Ballistix... could you justify that for us mate...

Btw what is AAks?

is it this? 250 Gb Western Digital WD2500AAKS Caviar SE16, SATA300, 7200 rpm, 16MB Cache, 9 ms,

slightly slower response time isnt it? the seagates are 8.5ms

OcUK doesn't appear to sell the 250gb version but yes that is one of them, the AAKS refers to the model line. The seek time might be marginally slower but I think they are just a shade quicker on average data speeds. :)

Isn't the 8800GTX better than the HD2900XT? From all the reviews I've read the HD2900XT only wins in one area whereas the 8800GTX cleans up with almost every other aspect.

If you're gonna spend that much money you may as well go for the GTX.

I would heartily recommend the zalman. Brilliant for Overclocking

Has got my current conroe to 3.7ghz stable
and my old pentium 4 to 4.8Ghz.

And on quiet mode its silent.

and it looks nice ;)
