Here is the upgrade i'm almost final on!

-E6600
- EVGA 680i board
- Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler

Final memory! what do you recommend. £280 is around my limit (was thinking about the Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX.

Can you recommend that memory with this board? is it worth me spending so much on memory or should I save my pounds and spend less?

Want to get a good overclock around 3.2ghz!

Have heard about some issues with the EVGA chipset running hot - any comments?

I already have an 8800GTX.

Thanks in advance to all! :)

I'd go for some team xtreem 4-4-4-10 PC6400, only around £205 as well.

Cool mate have my eyes set on the team xtreme 4-4-4-10 memory.

But if i settle on this, is it worth me going for a 680i chipset board? I've been told that it's not unless I get 1000mhz stable + memory.

I'm debating now whether or not to just stick with a 965p chipset board,.

If you can justify the extra cost, else no :)
agreed Im using the geil stuff and it fine getting a nice 400fsb without a problem. and its very easy too get too 3.2 with that kit. My CPU has to have the V-core upped a little too get there but not much.
The heat chipsets do run hot if over clocking but as said in the other post
if you look on the EVGA Forum either run the supplied fan at 50% as that enough too keep it under 90c or apply AS5 to the Chipset heat sinks.
