Right I done a lot of research, modifying and made decisions, considering the price I will be paying and how much I will be ordering I want one last check before doing it.

Is this a good enough built to go forward with as it is?
Is there anything I should change?
Anything I am missing? (I got monitor/Mouse/keyboard/speakers)
If I decide to use a Asus GTX 670 with this built (I might have other plans for the 780ti) would it still work well?

Thanks in advance :)

Would drop down to a smaller PSU and stretch the budget to an i7. You can even go for a 780 over a ti and get a i7, currently not a huge difference in most games but would be worth teh premium for future games, especially when you see the small performance difference between a 780 classy and a ti. If you dont like the 780, i wouldn't recommend a 290/290x with your motherboard, as it has problems recognising them some times.

The 550w Superflower is 59.99 and has gold efficiency too. Should easily be enough for the build.

I have your wifi card and it is awesome, though i would probably be looking at 'ac' cards over 'n' if i was buying now, as that will become the new standard for routers.

The g1 also had a few sound chip issues, spec wise the board is stunning but the issues with some users can take away the shine it has. Alternative board would be the Gigabyte OC board, nothing comes close in terms of value/performance.

Could have sworn it was more than that, was just highlighting it for u anyway just in case u didn't know.

Well there's only Atomic left with a faulty board (but been contacted directly by Gigabyte to sort).

Neolink and Dominus had an issue which have been sorted via RMA.

Unrelated to OP, but has the 290x not showing on some gigabyte boards been fixed?

It was a small problem that i spotted a few threads on when the 290x was released, so possibly an updated bios has fixed this.

No idea, probably just requires a board BIOS flash to recognise the card, the Z77-D3H was famous for this sort of thing.

Silly Question but I take it the new board requires those extensions leads to work properly with the build?
Interesting changes I take it that new board is better then my original one?
Any other recommendations/changes?
Also just to know how well I put it together, my original build was good to go and would work if I just left it as it was?

Thanks a lot for all the help by the way guys, I can always count on this forum for great help!

Just a slight adjustment to the previous builds. Took away the SSD for another 290. Sure no SSD in a 1.6k build soudns insane, but you can add one in whenever and SSDs don't help in game performance.

More grunt than even Crysis can handle :D

Downside, No case lol. I am afraid this build will need a cheaper case due to already over budget... maybe 290 xfire isnt an option with a i7 thrown in (tbh isnt an option without the i7) oh well :(

With that build you posted stulid, I am very new to building Rigs in general and never done liquid cooling etc, but I assume everything there is ready to go without any additional cables or tubes? Would I need some additional fans?

Also reposting a quick question, just to know how well I put it together, was my original build good to go and would work if I just left it as it was?

Liquid cooler is closed and needs no maintenance and comes with a pair of OEM un-rubberised sp120's.

No additional fans needed but depending on your layout, you might need an extension cable for the PCIe slots depending on which one you use. I have the same PSU and the 290x in the same case and needed PCIe extensions.

Your original build would work, though you would not gain benefit from such a high powered PSU over the smaller ones. Money is far better spent on the i7.

That's a lot of extra cables.

The extra cables are just to make things look nice and match the colour. If you dont have a window case, then you can scrap those, although depending on the PSU and case and layout, you might need a pcie extension depending on where you decide to put the GPU.

*Edit* just checked my Superflower cable and the PCIe is 60cm long i think (don't have a ruler to hand, so it was rough guess work). If i was neater with my watercooling, i no doubt would not need a pci-e cable extension but i imagine bigger cases than a 540 air might.

Its ready to go that build, dont need anything extra to make it work.

If you wanted to do SLI or Crossfire later on then a high wattage PSU such as you had originally or that Superflower will give you room to do so.
