The freezer 7 pro is a decent cooler for its price range, can support an overclock that takes you up to 3 gig as far as I'm aware. Obviously the tuniq tower offers a large amount of performance, but it's pricey to boot.

If anything I'd swap the ram for this OCZ stuff, it's back down to £115!

hi

so you think the ocz ram over the geil?

and a samsung or seagate instead of western digital?

cheers

The Samungs are quieter, but the WD have higher performance. Unless you plan to fit several drives the noise levels aren't worth bothering about in "gaming" rig

hmm isnt the seagate 7200.10 faster and better technology than the western dig, the samsung and all the rest...

what with it being perpendicular writing and all? i would recomment that HDD, and an E6400 if you can stretch that far!

Geil/OCZ is 50/50 though!

my 7200.10 is crap. Its slow and noisey, makes those annoying grinding like loading sounds that hard-drives from years past make. as bad as a sodding maxtor

then id RMA it...

to be fair its probably the next best drive after the raptor...

this isnt me that is saying it, but numerous reports online. noweher can i find similar reports for the western digital im afraid.

tough one. im in the same position, i have an ACooler pro on my AMD rig atm, and im not happy..im moving to 775 and want a good quiet cool cooler, reasonable price with some OC headroom... (btw you only need1 that spec seems to have 2 in it?)

good choice of case IMO, and psu...and gfx card, and ram.

mobo is a 50/.50 for me

does yours make noises a bit like grinding? its not grinding though, its just the usual old hard-drive noise.. Unreal how loud it is compared 2 my WDs..

nothin wrong with it as far as i know. DS3 and DS4 are the other choices in same price range.
asus in theory offers potential of higher overclock witht he 6series c2ds with lower speed memory. But this becomes pointless if using a 4300.
Although in practice both the ds3 + ds4 are brilliant overclocking boards anyway.
Really its all down to personal preference. DS3 and 4 have a hell of a lot of praise and users, same for the p5n
