final spec check before i buy

hi

ive decided to get a different motherboard as ive heard the asus p5n get very hot

if i was to get a gigabite ds3 would that be ok with the rest of my setup above such as the e6300 , bfg 8800gts and artic freezer 7?

or should i go for a ds4?
