I can push for £1000 so I'm still undecided about the graphics card.

PS.

Have a HD and x-fi soundcard.

I don't know what monitor you have so I won't really comment too much on the graphics card other than to say if you have a monitor capable of 1600x1200 or more then it might be worth considering a card with 512mb Ram, otherwise that one is fine.

I would however suggest three changes - the motherboard for an Asus P5W DH Deluxe as it is based on the 975 chipset which is supposed to work better with the 6600 and above chips for overclocking. Secondly I'd go for PC6400 Ram as that ought to match up better with a 6600 and finally the least important change is to go for an NEC or Pioneer DVDRW drive instead of the Asus, it might be personal preference but I think they are better drives overall. :)

Can the Asus P5W be upgraded to run the Quad CPU when they ship? That the only reason I picked the Gigabyte since it can be upgraded. Oh, and I have a 19inch monitor that can display 1600x1200 so I might upgrade to the 512 card

Sorry I don't know if the Asus will be able to use the Quad-core CPUs, I suspect that there will be a bios flash but probably better if you check up on it rather than going by what I'm guessing here. :)
