Final Spec Check - comments please!

Looks really good, that graphics card would be fine for 1280 x 1024 (more than fine).

To fine tune it I would use Nexus/Sharkoon fans instead of Noctua, and Samsung F1 drives are the fastest SATA drives at the moment, get the 334 platter ones (334, 660 or 1TB drives).

I also preferred the Tuniq Tower to the 120, but it comes down to personal preference. I found the Tuniq much easier to fit.

The only thing I would change is the corsair memory to cas4. It can be had for a £2 premium but ocuk still not selling them yet :(

Worth it for the £2 since they will run at 400Mhz at 4-4-4-12 and even 450+ speeds at the same tight timings.

I have mine running at 1066 atm at 5-5-5-12 but I just slacked off the timings to get my max overclock and I haven't tried tightening them up yet to see how much better they will go.

Apart from that, ditto the comment about the Samsung hard drives, they are awesome and well worth having.

And since the basic parts of your system is the same as mine, you will have no problems running at 1280 x 1024. Even on crysis benchmark at with everything on high I get 49 fps average.

Would I be better off spending the extra on a retail vista do you think?

The difference between oam and retail is that you get no support with oem. So depends if you ever plan to use microsoft support really.

Personally i find I get the answers quicker searching the internet so went with the oem vista ultimate (only got the ultimate cause I could get it for £75 oem :))

I got retail version, since if you change motherboard then you will need a new OEM vista. As I am more likely going to get a new mobo before a new OS I chose retail.
