I have put togther the following spec for a rig i will be building soon (which should take me through to 2008 and beyond)
REUSING EXISTING - Akasa Eclipse 62 case
REUSING EXISTING - 80Gb Maxtor ATA
REUSING EXISTING - 300Gb Maxtor SATA
REUSING EXISTING - 120mm 700rpm SilenX Case fan
The idea is to create a silent pc with good performance to play games and do audio editing aswell as some photoshop and autocad. I watch a lot of movies also and kind of use my pc as a multimedia source.
I might even add a TV Card and a 24" Dell later.
Hoping to overclock the E6300.
The idea is to cool the cpu and gpu using the reserator2 in a loop, the hdd's will be in enclosures to cool them (as they are in now) with 1x 120mm 7v fan cooling the case.
Your probably wondering why the 600gb ext lacie. Well its for all my backups and i like the idea of only turning the hd on when i need to move a descent size of files over and then switch it off which reduces noise.
Your opinions please?
