I would be very grateful if you could have a look through this spec and give me any advice or changes I need to make. I still need advice on whether I should go for the BFG stuff or for EVGA. The rig will be mildly overclocked, but nothing spectacular - and it will be in my Armor jr. case.

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB)
£209.99
(£246.74)

BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - £364.99
(£428.86)

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail £162.99
(£191.51)

BFG nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £159.99
(£187.99)

Samsung SH-183LBEBN 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial ATA Lightscribe ReWriter (Black) - OEM £19.99
(£23.49)

Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM £136.99
(£160.96)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB ST3500630AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM £74.99
(£88.11)

Dell E228WFP 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black
(£252.61) £214.99

OCZ GameXStream 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply OCZ £59.99
(£70.49)

Enermax Aurora Brushed Aluminium Keyboard - Black Enermax Aurora £39.99
(£46.99)

Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler £29.99
(£35.24)

Total inc VAT : £1,750.56

It is a little over budget (£1700) but no big deal. The system is to be used mainly for 3D design and simulation modeling, as well as a gamer :D

Theres no point in spending extra on an overclocked graphics card when you can just do it yourself.

Also, Raptors are a total waste tbh. RAID 0 plus a backup drive is a better use of the money.

How easy to overclock the card is it, and is that the only differnece between the bfg card and the standard card?

So do the raptors not make that much of a difference?
