An upgrade for my parents pc, already have a case/dvd-rw

Is everything compatible and going to work ok? Its been a while since i built a machine and don't have any spare bits

If there will be anyway to make it cheaper let me know, im still tempted to just get a 20" monitor as they currently have a 17" crt lol :)

Whats going to be the easiest way to transfer stuff from this current HDD to the new one? Such as music/documents etc?

Hi dan *waves*

Cheers 95thrifles, Yes, they won't be gaming. It's incase im back home and fancy a blast on an old game or something :p

I was reading up on vista home/premium and there really wasn't much difference that would be of any use? Whats the main difference to warrent pay for it?

I had vista on 2gb of ram and it ran ok, even when gaming so my parents should be ok with 2 if i set up proberly :)

Edit: to be honest im going to drop down to a 160hg hdd, they have a 120 at the moment (which sounds like its dying) and its barely half full

this is the new spec

Ffs the price has gone up :( lol
