Any comments?
Anything else I need?

I have optical and peripherals.

I'm looking to overclock to around 3.2GHz

I don't play a lot of games as it is... no reason to buy a more powerful card.

I was looking at the 7900GS but the X1950PRO seems like a great deal - no? What's wrong with ATi?

Good answer.

If you were a games player then the 8800 would be essential.

If you are looking for bang for buck then the 1950 is very compelling.

Its just ATi are still all on DX9, whereas 8800 series from NVidia are on DX10. If you don't play games then there is no reason to get a card as powerful as the x1950 Pro - a 7600 GT or a 7300 will handle windows vista and aero without trouble.

I do play games - I'm just not critically concerned to get all the bells and whistles. I'm sure a X1950PRO will be fine for the next year or so... then I might consider getting a DX10 card.

Thanks for the link Girdag, looks like a minor mod is needed. I have a 60mm fan for the northbridge already.

I'd go for a Lian Li PC7+ over the Antec 900. Looks much nicer, and there's no way you'll need all the fans in the 900.
