Final Spec Check

Have just finalised the spec for my next PC, and advice/ comments greatly appreciated:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme Heatsink
Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5
Mboard: Asus Striker Extreme m/board
Memory: OCZ 2Gb PC2-6400 800Mhz Reaper HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition
Graphics Card: XFX 8800 Ultra Extreme
HDD: Seagate Barracuda SATA 300 16Mb Cache 320Gb
PSU: Sea Sonic M12-700 PSU
Fans: Xilence XPF120R Red Wing 120mm quiet fan x3 (1x CPU, 2x Case)
Case: Antec Performance One P182

Already have DVD-Rom & DVD Burner

overkill on the graphics card, just get the non ultra version and clock it

and the PSU also, you can get away with less.. corsair 520/620 is the flavour of the month on the forums.


what monitor are you running ?

Yep the graphics is abit overkill. The PSU has had some very good reviews.

Thinking of hooking it all up to a either:

1. LG L194WT 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor
or
2. BenQ FP222WH - 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor
