Gettin the below, looking at spec for around £500.

Was wondering whether to get ATI 4870 or stretch and get the GTX260 ?

Cheers

Good solid spec, components are nice.

You can as suggested shave off a few quid by going for the cheaper board but I'd stick to that one personally, if you plan to overclock or play with unlocking the 550's cores its one of the better boards, the AMD chips like it.

The PSU is slightly overkill with that system but will allow future upgrading and crossfiring at a later date.

If your overclocking you may want to look at an aftermarket cooler and possibly an intake fan for the case.

GPU is good, as Thrifles suggests, if your going to stretch for a better card, go for the 4890

So which PSU would you guys recommend instead?

I'll probably stick with that mobo because I do plan to overclock and is there a decent cooler you guys recommend?

cheers

For the sake of saving £4 keep the 650W over the 550W Corsair, its a great PSU and will serve you well in the future if need be.
If you want to free up some cash for a aftermarket cooler, then go for the OCZ, it will save you £20.

I went for the Sunbeam on a friends AMD rig on recommendation but it seems to be out of stock at the moment (its a great cooler and fits in the antec 300 (just)).

Not sure what the deal is with coolers marked as AMD2 on the overclockers site lists, they should work on the AMD3 sockets and boards, but you would have to get somebody with more knowledge on that matter to clarify it.
