Hey guys, a couple of months ago I posted a thread looking wanting some specs for a PC, with a budget of £1200. After some thinking (and some advice from friends), I'm finally buying my pc. I just want a double check and see if I chose the right kit. Or if I need to make any changes.

The PC will be mainly used for 3D work (maya, photoshop) and gaming.

So heres the spec.

GPU - Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5
CPU - Intel i7 3770K
SSD - Mach Extreme Technology 128GB
HDD - Toshiba (7K1000.D) 1TB
PSU - Corsair GS700 700 watt
RAM - TeamGroup 16GB (2x8GB) 1600Mhz
M/Board - Gigabyte Z77-DH3
CPU Cooler - Corsair Hydro H80i
CASE - NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case

TOTAL - 1090.24

Any advice would be great.

Would your programs don't benefit from running cuda and physx that are provided by a Nividia GPU solution?

You are correct.

But 600 series can be dodgy with maya. But after many discussions with friends and other forums, there isn't much difference.

To be honest, the GPU has been a difficult decision to make.

But I have been looking at the EVGA GTX 670 FTW.
