Final Spec Check

Planning on ordering tommorow or on xmas day. I've made this basic spec, but wondered if anyone could offer any tips :)

Budget: No more than £730

I already have sound card, all peripherals, hard drives and a monitor.
The computer will mainly be used for gaming.
Running a 24" monitor at 1920x1200 resolution.

I wasn't sure about the graphics card, go to a GTX or a GT. Problem is, I have my sights set on either the 9 series or ATI HD 3870 X2 when they come out, so not sure wether the price for the GTX is worth it.

Although I haven't much experience in it, I will be overclocking

All helpful tips and comments greaty appreciated, thanks and merry xmas ! ;)

Everything looks good there, no obvious changes other than to say the case is ugly as sin (but I've always thought that and it doesn't mean it isn't a good case) and you could save a few quid by going for the OEM CPU but you get a shorter warranty. :)

As you are getting the CPU cooler, go OEM and save the cost of the cooler. The 900 case works well although cable management can be a pain

Alright thanks, switched the CPU, any thoughts on the graphics card though? Just not sure if it's worth switching to the GTX

Thanks

Check the case forum part about your choice of PSU as I think its a mega tight fit with a corsair in it!

isn't the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 5 quid more expensive for retail, and that 3 year warranty instead of 1 yea.

but as he says overclocking, so throw the warranty out the window
