Hey guys,

I've got to choose my final year project to do next year, but am struggling to choose.

My course is bsc digital media and its generally a course that does all sorts. I've worked with adobe flash, dreamweaver, 3dsmax, premiere pro, all sorts.

I have an option to do a study, artefact or combined.

My course is mainly web orientated, and its what I prefer, so I am thinking some sort of website, but its got to be challenging and what not for me to learn, and to do in the time space.

Just shouting out to see if you guys would have any ideas for me ? I've got to write a proposal, literature review and ethical review for this by monday.

I prefer web design rather than all the coding side of things, however I know they do work together, so of course I am willing to do code too.

I have a good grounding on CSS and HTML so I am tihnking something that uses this, but im just not sure what to base a website on, its got to do something fancy I would imagine, that shows I had to learn some new coding, whether it php, javascript, ajax and what not.

Cheers OCUK ! :D

Youtube 2.0, allow a user to upload a video and them ammend a mockup advert to the begining and end of each video.

That could potentially use php, flash, html/css and premier pro.

Thanks for the ideas, I have come up with something so far, but need to know if its doable in an academic year for someone with no knowledge of the programming language,

Well you those websites which track stock and the prices of a popular in high demand gadget....? like the Wii that was always always selling out etc etc.

Now I think this paticular website uses ASP, no ive never ever done ASP before, is there anyone that can shed light on how doable this would be for myself ?

I was thinking to maybe link it to affiliate marketing too, so when a user clicks through, it tracks thier click and I earn a commision :D

So sound feasible ?

It doesn't have to be done in ASP, it could be done in PHP also. They are both server based languages, it's just that one is free and runs on different platforms, and the other is windows servers only.

Seems like I should do it in PHP then! I guess its feasible for me to take on then..., I don't know PHP either, so a challenge :D

Cheers

Hmm, thats made me worry a bit... would I have to get quite advanced to complete something like this ? I wouldnt even know where to begin, but I suppose knowing comes from learning the code !
