Hey guys just need some opinions, i have been at work and had a thought about a final year project for next year. I have heard doing Networking usually gives a moderate grade so i have been thinking about a programming one.
My thought is to design a tablet/phone application and the thought I have had is one that would allow a user to securely connect to a server and bring up the DHCP screen (maybe in a simpler GUI) with the DHCP scope so that you could remove users and clear out the pool whilst being away from your PC..
I also thought but I have no idea how you would do this about being able to create a way to automatically boot off iphones/ blackberrys etc from the DHCP maybe with a specific timer/refresh rate .. only way i could think of doing that would be to have the application check the name and remove anyone with Iphone or whatever
Reason I have been thinking of this is whilst at work quite a lot of the time the staff wifi gets full with people using their Iphones and blackberrys, so i keep having to go to the DHCP and physically remove them
Any thoughts?
