Put this together for my mate, not really much I can see that I could tweak personally. Chosen the Akasa cooler as I've got 2 of them and they're fantastic, XMS3 was chosen for the fact that I KNOW it fits under the Akasa...
(Already has a 600W OCZ power supply.)

Was wondering whether this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-255-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752 would be better than the XFX one? I can imagine the cooler being a bit better but it has a slightly lower clock.


Also, next week we'll be ordering an SSD, he only wants a 64GB as that's all he needs. I was thinking Agility 3 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-075-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910) As it's on offer for £80 which to me is a bargain, but I seem to recall mention of Sandforce being a bit buggy? Maybe better to go with Crucial M4?

The two I listed are fine for 4.5ghz, plenty of reviews around the net.

And they will fit in with the colour scheme better too.
 
Ok mate, cheers for the help, gone with the IceQ 6950 and A50. He's not OVERLY bothered about the scheme of things.

Will see how that VTX one compares though just incase.
 
Fair point.

Is it worth changing the XMS3 for the G.Skill to match the colour scheme of the case somewhat? I'm not sure how tall the Gskill is or how big the A50 actually is though so I'm at a loss.
