Been messing with my OC every now and again for over a year now but never managed to get it stable at 4 gig without having stupidly high vcore and thus the temps just being too high so have been running it at 3.6 and later 3.8.

Running at 1.23v now and full load temps on IBT were fine, I mean it got to 95c at one point but that was only by the 15th pass and no game is going to cause that much stress for that amount of time.

Very happy.

That is all.

:D

95C

That's way too high for a stable overclock even as a peak temperature in prime. I'd keep a very careful eye on temperatures when gaming if you don't want a cooked CPU.

I'll just wait until it crashes, thanks :p

Been playing Skyrim for the last two days with no problems and max temps of 64 so I'm not really fussed, also PC hasn't been reset/off since I ran IBT.

And you are right about the H50, I just can't be arsed to replace it. :)

Nice volts.

Meh to all that 8 hours prime carry on

Just up the volts a little if you get a crash.

Aye, my thoughts exactly.

It was putting the BLCK to 190 and forcing turbo on for 21x that keeps the volts low I think (please correct me if I'm wrong). Because before I was adamant that I could have a BCLK of 200, but it only seemed stable (one or two passes of IBT) at something like 1.36v which sent my temps through the roof and I had to stop the test and go back to 3.8Ghz at 1.18v.

And before you say it, yes that means it's 3.99Ghz and not 4. I'm rounding up!! Don't pee on my bonfire :p
