While at uni I don't ever get much chance to take my camera out, so while on Easter Break, I've decided I'm gonna try and get out as much as possible (weather permitting). This is the first time I've had a chance to try the new lens I got at Christmas, so here's a few that I've managed to get since getting back:

I've got a few things to improve on, particularly with the night shots, since I left the shutter open a bit too long on these ones. Just have to hope for another clear night.

Impressive, especially the 1st shot.

What kit/aperture/exposure did you use?

Thanks guys. No, the first one is just one single photo. All where taken with a Nikon D40 and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, and for the first one I also used an ND grad filter.

Gorgeous shots, especially the night/star ones. We've got so much light polution that I'll never see something like that :/ Was able to as a kid though!

It's useful being in Cumbria, since it's one of the few places left that I can get photos like that from. Sorry I didn't put up the exposure settings before Spie, here you go:

1st photo:

This was edited using Luminance HDR, but just working with one original RAW exposure.
