Finally a DRM that works?

Where therse a will theres a way.

The best DRM is steam, because it works.

How does it work? You realise DRM is intended to stop copying rather than just allowing people to play a game?

With regards to Steam 'dodgy' clients there are at least 3 out there that allow full game downloads. I've never tried them and I never will but they are out there and there are a lot of sites littered with Steam-rips.

It's funnier still doing a Google search on stuff like "sacred 2 1xp" or "crysis shooting chickens".

The perfect pirate honeypot.

Or perhaps its worth looking at just how many 'fixes' there are out there for both Sacred 2 and Crysis. It's interesting that when you are reading the patches information that, every now and again, they fix problems that the developers miss.

It's also interesting that several games in the past have used the patch that the pirates hae used.

Those clients perform flaky at best if you can get them download anything all.

Also, you dennounce STEAM as doing nothing to prevent piracy yet have no first hand experience of trying these clients and if you have, would realise they have not in the slightest bypassed the STEAM DRM sucessfully.

Um if you can rip a game from Steam, publish it on the internet for people with or without the Steam clients, how is this not successfully bypassing DRM?
