Well, according to several of the rumor sites anyway :p

Usually with this many sites pick up the story then you know it's only a matter of time. I for one, have been looking forward to this since the AirPort Extreme went "n", and it's the only other device (other than my iPhone) that's running on "g"

Anyway, here's a screenshot of the latest slip-up on the Apple Switzerland store, clearly showing the 802.11n in the description :)

Been thinking about an Airport Extreme, but the addition of N would make this perfect for what I need.

Ill porly pick one up for wireless printing altho mines an all-in-one jobby and if it cant scan over the network then it would render it a bit poitnless...
If only it was possible to hook up an external hard to the USB port on the AE and use it for wireless backup to time machine....but alas from what ive read its not possible....unless im mistaken....?

edit: I have another question about Airtunes, does it only work when streaming audio from iTunes. e.g. if i want to watch a film in Quicktime will I be able to wirelessly use the speaekrs or not? TIA

i have a time capsule but i want to use these purely for music to my amp and speakers in my bedroom and living room, cos the current ones dont work with the time capsule

Glad they're updating these with 'N' now so i might just get one, purely for upgrade. :D

Trouble is i have 'Time Capsule' using the 'N', but only have mac mini using 'G'.
Judging by this upgrade and many more upgrades to the present/future line of products from Apple (according to a management statement), what & when is the possibility of the mac mini getting 'N'?

can i use this to make say a network in my living room thats wired, BRIDGE over to join my separate wireless N network?

I only ask has i head this product uses MODES ( having around 4 different modes of functionality ) rather that all singing and dancing - just configure for you needs AKA a singe mode access all functions.

and can i use it to bridge my Xbox 1 XBMC to my no apple wireless G network

In some modes the RJ45 Network port is disabled.

can anyone whos got the old one lay it down straight?

:)

It only prints on the network, which is a bummer.. but I just use the copy feature of my all-in-one (Canon Pixma MP610), and rarely need a scanner anyway.

It's not possible to get AirDisk working with the AirPort Express and a USB hard drive, the USB port is assigned to printers (at the moment)

Yes, it's possible but you need a app called AirFoil to let you stream the audio from the system to the AirPort Express.

Any other questions? (I use my AirPort Express so much!) :)
