Hi Guys

From tomorrow onward we will have Watercool [Heatkiller] relisted on the store page.

I am putting the finishing touches to the product listings at the moment and finalizing our order.

Needless to say, the range will include their massively popular CPU and VGA watercooling solutions as well as a selection of their Radiators and Mainboard cooling solutions.

Following on from a lot of updates to our watercooling range including revamped OcUK Tech Labs products as well as new Bitspower products, Watercool is the latest brand for OcUK that will top off an already impressive high end portfolio

Go and check out their homepage here to get a feeling for the range and the products we will be stocking.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and I will do my best to answer

Rich

I'd have waited a couple weeks if I'd have known unfortunately I was told these weren't being looked into. Had to order other blocks elsewhere in the end would have much preferred to order watercool blocks from you guys

I have a really strong dislike of how the heatkiller CPU blocks look :p

Each to their own :p

I remember speaking to you about it.

In honesty, I have been looking at a few brands. Watercool is a brand that has traditionally had poor sales in the UK. I feel that this is essentially down to the price.

Truth be told, the Watercool range is in the same league as Aquacomputer. It is really high end and not in the same sort of mainstream category as EK and XSPC.

The reason I have decided to take the brand on again is literally down to two things.
1. the success of the watercooling range at OcUK means that a brand with slower sales due to its premium nature is now an option

2. demand via the customer service forums had increased to the point where it couldn't be ignored.

In short, it is down to you guys. 99% of the time, the product suggestion forums highlights products that we already know about as we get industry information long before it is available to the public, but occasionally we spot trends on things that we know about but dont list.

you guys asked for it, so I have set it up.

I will update the OP with some info when the range goes on the website today.

Thanks for your explanation. Dont get me wrong im a little disappointed but im not unhappy would have been nice to know you were considering bringing them back when we spoke but as you said its not like im without a system, its just like most here, i would have prefered to give you my hard earned than a competitor.

Just gives me more reason to start another project :)

The thing i don't like about their cpu blocks is that they only fit a single socket. Despite promises that they would make adapters available in the UK it never happened. Until some third parties started making alternative brackets, if you had a Heatkiller cpu block and wanted to change sockets you had to buy a new block. Other manufacturers include extra brackets with their blocks so why not Heatkiller? The cpu block's design has remained unchanged for years as well.

I can't see where this "high end" description comes from either. The blocks are nothing special to look at and in terms of performance, looking at the likes of Skinnee labs and Martin's liquid labs they always come in around the middle of the results and get beaten by the "mainstream" brands. As far as i can see they cost more but you get less for your money.

some very valid points.

In honesty, the performance is normally something brought into question. There is no denying that the aesthetic of the Watercool products is their main selling point and that companies like EK and XSPC are more active in aggressively chasing performance figures.

The thing you need to remember, is that Watercool and Aquacomputer are manufactured in Germany. the average wage bill, shipping and raw material cost in Germany is much higher than Slovenia [EK] and China [XSPC].

You raise a very good point on the mounting brackets. I will raise this with them now and see if OcUK can offer a solution.

Appreciate your input :)

I was planning to WC my whole system before Easter and I really wanted to buy a Heatkiller CPU and GPU block. The problem is I also wanted to buy a Z87 system so I would have to wait for that and buy the adequate CPU block for them cause they are all unique per socket. So I decided to wait... and I would have bought those from their own german website and would have paid a lot more in shipping costs + conversion to EU price. I'm glad you will have them in stock so I can buy everything from 1 website. I just have one small remark to make: you don't seem to have a big range of fittings (especially when several are out of stock) when I compare to the amount of weird (but useful) Bitspower fittings available in some US websites. I'm also surprised by the lack of tubing options... that's definately something I will have to buy from another website...

Just to let you know, the third party brackets are made by Pulse Modding. For £4.50 you can change the mounting plates so that the Heatkiller 3.0 cpu block will fit all current sockets, both AMD and Intel.

I have just had a quick look around and it seems that Heatkiller have finally started making their own brackets and are for sale at a couple of specialist water cooling etailers. The big downside is the price (almost £19!!) and it is still only for specific sockets, such as 1155/1156. If you want 1366/2011 that's a different mounting kit again. No sign of any AMD kits either.

Point taken. All of this info is important.
Obviously I see all of this being a product specialist, but ultimately it is the customers perceptions that should matter most to the manufacturers.

I will ensure this info gets across to Watercool

I have updated the OP with links to the CPU and VGA blocks range.

stock is on order and will be around 5-7 days.
