Talk about an experience i dont want to repeat.

April 14th I suddenly started getting incredibly bad stomach pains the point where I just couldnt do anything, I started turning yellow, felt sick all the time. Went to my GP who got me an ambulance within minutes of arriving.

Got discharged from hospital yesterday, following 2 operations and major surgery.

Turns out I had developed pancreatitus and had to have my gallbladder removed, certainly explains the past 5 years of stomach cramps and pains...

Atleast the nurses were pretty fit :)

Crikey good job that you didn’t collapse somewhere. Good to hear that you’re mended and welcome back. :)

Blimey the doctor must have known it was in a pretty serious state to call you out an ambulance within minutes of arriving. Welcome back :)

Gaah, that doesn't sound very pleasant at all, kudos to the Doc for calling the ambo within minutes though. Fit nurses as well! the perfect GD success story :D

Was certainly an experience thats for sure, of course i look like a human collander now but ohh well, atleast im no longer in pain which by the way is apparently on par with giving birth so I shall certainly keep that in mind when and if I have kids in the future and the miss's complains about the pain!!

I assume its because of all the key hole surgery... But the first thought that came in to my head was one of those cone things they put on cats and dogs to stop the licking/biting them selves... :p

Welcome back none the less :)

P.S. I might be inclined to send my GP a lil token of appreciation if he did that for me... Seems he made the right decisions!

Young cousin has just had pancreatitus on top of other things after giving birth. Really Really bad thing to have this. Hope your OK mate.

Glad it's all sorted, done over at Torbay?

I miss our old doc in Paignton, he was a legend.

Yep good old Torbay hospital, first time in a hospital in over 20 years, wasnt that bad really. Probably because the nurses on the ward were pretty damn fit :)

Im ok though, on god knows how many pain killers and can't drive for a few weeks atleast, but atleast im on the mend now, just have to watch what I eat in future. On the plus side I lost over a stone while in hospital. So ive gone from 17st 1lb in december to 13st 4lb today which im more than happy with as im 6ft 2" :)
