Enjoying it so far, will dig out the old thread when I get a bit further as I don't want to spoil it for myself at the moment.

Trying to decide if I should play more today or if I should wait till tonight when it's proper dark for atmosphere

Well I solved my crashing issues, they were caused by having a game controller plugged in and not being used.

Yeh, I had the same issue, lag with vsync enabled was awful, without I was getting bad tearing, but only really noticeable with light flickering areas.

Anyway, finished it today, great game thouroughly enjoyable and a bargain at only twelve quid
