So where would the cheapest place be to buy one, im thinking ill get the premium one.

Should i just get one off the bay?

Retail price is £280, you won't get it cheaper anywhere (other than ebay - assuming you trust the seller) without vouchers :)

IMO, you'd be better off buying it from a shop, even if you DO see it cheaper on eBay.

Reason: You'll stand a better chance that the model you're buying is one of the newer models will a far less chance of it giving the 3 red lights of doom.

Any serious reasons for not getting it off ebay?

Do is have any waranty?

Warranty won't be an issue as if you have any problems you can just ring Microsoft and they'll sort it out for you.

Their warranty is great to be fair. Any problem with the hardware and you give them a ring, they pick it up and your likely to have a new one in 6 days or so.

Go into game and chop your old stuff in. I traded in my old xbox and a few games and came out with a premium 360 for 220 notes. Wasnt as if I was gonna be using the old xbox anyway, so worked out ok.

Yeah I was amazed how much trade-in I got on a few Xbox games when I bought mine last week :)

If you look carefully online, you can get the hardware on its own for about £260 if you find the right money off vouchers.

Definitely buy it from a high-street shop, I'd recommend GAME as they are excellent for turnarounds if your console breaks, takes them about 5-10 minutes and you have a new one.

With online retailers you have to send the console to Microsoft, which takes around a week.

IMO It's worth the extra few quid.

Im thinking of getting it from game, Might try that big toys outlet that you mention over the weekend aswell!

Most I know of send it off to Microsoft for you, so you have even longer to wait.

Shouldn't the same rules apply as a normal retailer though? i.e. they (the e-tailer) send you a replacement straight away?
