Finally decided to make the jump.....

I've decided that I finally want a sound card for my rig (DS3, Conroe E6600)
but I'm stuck between these two:

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Sound Card - OEM £18.79

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music - OEM £51.11

Is the X-Fi worth spending the extra £30 on? Only really interested in playing music, and not gaming, will be hooking up my logitech Z-5500's to it. Any thoughts and suggestions gratefully received.

For music I'd chuck the Z-5500's and get a decent amp and hi-fi plus M-Audio 2496.

There's no point having surround for music.

And hardly any music is mixed properly for it.

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Sound Card is no better than onboard sound. It still uses software emulation.
