Ok so its been annoying me for ages, when I hit the play button on my keyboard to pause/play spotify/vlc or anything of that nature dam itunes loads!
I found this today and its worked perfectly. Though it still bounces in the dock weirdly it doesn't start or start playing anything over the top of what I'm listening to!

This was annoying me too
