Okay, here's the thing, I currently have a POS 23 inch samsung monitor that's 720p. Hoping someone can direct me to the monitor that my rig deserves.

What I want:

24''
IPS
Height Adjust stand
Budget is up to around £150 - £200
1080p (Been toying with the idea of 1440p but i'm not sure my single 290 will handle it too well, thoughts?)

Don't care for monitor speakers at all...

I run a 27" 1440p monitor on a overclocked 280x, and can play the majority of games on high settings (some ultra), the majority of the case without AA. Bearing in mind a 290 is ~10 fps higher than a 280x, 1440p won't be too demanding for you. Also, due to the higher pixel density, high levels MSAA are usually not necessary so you save a few frames there. If you want to go the 1440p path, then I'd recommend the Dell U2515H, but it is £250 I'm afraid.

For 1080p, possibly a Dell U2414H, or a Asus VN247H? I owned some U2414H's in the past and picture quality was great (quality control issues aside..)

I also have a 27" 1440p monitor and I use a 7970, which is basically a 280x like Lukieboy.

I can second pretty much what he said. The only games to have really troubled the card at this resolution have been GTA V and The Witcher 3 so with a 290 you should be pretty much ok. Your budget may be an issue for you though.

So am I right in thinking that the dell U2515H is the best 1440p monitor below 27''?
Anyone seen what the Samsung S24E390HL is like? Was looking into that too. I know it doesn't have height adjust but it looks solid spec wise. Though only 1080p...

Recently bought the Dell U2515H (It arrived yesterday) got it all set up and everything was all great. Until I did a backlight bleed test and noticed that i could see the outline of my desktop wallpaper and icons like an after-image. Any way to fix this or is it just something that happens with this monitor?

I found nothing montioned in reviews for this, is it a fault?

Found a youtube video that showcases what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfvOYSJTQx4

It happens in minutes and is pretty noticeable in a dark room or with a dark image.

Cheers guys
