Finally gone and done it

After a year of cheap second hand builds I have finally spent some cash and have the following on its way;

P5K premium, Q6600, 2gb crucial ballistix; asus 8800gt, spinpoint 500gb hd, pioneer dvd writer, freezer 7 pro, two Noctura 1200mm case fans and a lovely Silverstone TJ-09 in black with window. I have a Corsair PSU ready and waiting.

I am excited/scared!

Ram arrived this morning direct from Crucial. Last bit to be sent and first bit to arrive. Cost me £2 in postage. Maybe Royal Mail are not all bad! City Link on the other hand.....

Ok. she is up and running. Ill post a few pics later. I had a brief problem when I could not change any bios settings but either the flash or changing memory speed from auto to 800 may have fixed that.

Cable management needs a bit of work. The 6 pin mb power lead is only just long enough so has to take a rather direct route.

Stress testing now.
