Went and picked it up on Saturday...
Got a SEAT Altea FR 2.0T FSI...
It's a Jan 31st 07 registered 56 plate... 1060 miles on the clock... Only previous owner was the garage... We paid a smidge over £13k from an approved SEAT dealer with 31 months Manufacturers warranty and 19 months Roadside assistance... Which I thought was good value considering the list price was £17,945 new...
First impressions are very positive... build seems great... ride is only a little on the firm side on the bumpiest of roads... Motorway driving is great... with effortless power even in 6th... It takes off when it needs to and is refined enough for everyday driving...
It's definately a niche kind of car... Not quite a hatch, not quite an MPV, but it suits our needs almost perfectly which I guess is why they are making them... The seats are very comfortable and hold you well... Went for a 2 hour drive on Sunday with baby and 2 passangers in the back, me and missus in front, and not one of us was in any discomfort when we got out...
I know the styling of these isn't everyones cup of tea... but I'm coming around to it and the missus loved it immediately... Plenty of room to get the baby and required equipment in (the main requirement), and with plenty of room to spare...
Overall... early doors... but very happy...
Cheers,
Melon.
