I know I'm not the first to do this but it's still the first time I've actually managed it.

It's been about 24 hours since I tried testing my new PSU and everythings seems stable.

Before all I could raise my FSB to was 220, anything past that and my rig would get stuck on the POST. I started by raising it to 225 and Windows booted. I then thought, sod it and raised it to 240 and tried again. Hey presto, 24 hours of Folding @ Home later and everything seems ok.

As I've said before, my RAM is Corsiar Value Select so I've set it's divider to "PC2700" in the BIOS which means it's actually operateing at it's rated speed of 400MHz. Timings are 2.5-3-3-8 1T. I'm pretty impressed because I'm running on air cooling at the moment.

Obviously I haven't been infront of my rig all day but I've just been playing Q4 with Folding in the background and as soon as I came out my CPU temp was 47*C so it looks all good for now.

It just goes to show that a decent PSU really does give impressive results.

Not sure as my temp usually varies, but I never hit over 50, so I cant see that been it :(
Saying that, thats without upping the volts, as My CPU voltage is greyed out and wont let me up it :O

Thanks everyone! :D

I've changed the CPU-Z/Temp link to an image so people can see what CPU it is. It's only a 600MHz or so overclock but I'm happy with it. I haven't tried to go higher and probably won't as I don't want to push my luck. I've had my rig running Folding @ Home 24/7 over the past day or so and it looks all good.

I'll run a few more benchies sometime today and post em here. As for "only" getting 8255 in 3Dmark2005, bear in mind that to get 10,000+ normally requires SLi. Nevertheless I'm happy with my rigs setup now. :p
