Finally(!) I took some non-macro shots with the 105mm!

I like it, a few people have commented that there is nowhere for the eye to settle and I agree. I still like it though

Not sure on this one, to the point of not being sure if I like it or not. I have no idea what train of thought I was going through to get that angle but I know I wanted to capture the concentration of the shot. Still, nice and sharp

nice, I recently bought the 105mm and plan to use it on non macro as well.

Im hoping to get some use out of the 105 macro tomorrow myself. I like both of your shots. I do like the cricket one. (colin, looks like he has caught the ball on his knee)

The ball hasnt entered the frame yet - he is about to clobber it absolutely miles...

What are you seeing that you think is the ball?

chawp a ball in there, one that's slightly lens blurred of course and it should complment the frame nicely with the finishing touch
