Finally its arrived! Canon 200mm USM MKII L F2.8

At last i finally have a telephoto lens! havent had a chance to use it yet but it is at least in my hands! very very nice build quality and the optics look high Q alright. i will get round to testing this weekend i believe so ill post some examples then.

one question

on the body it has a flip switch to change the setting from 1.5m - ? or 3.5m - ? is this to alter the minimum focusing distance? and if so what advantages are there to each setting?? thanks!!

thats why i bought it, it will mean i dont lose the AF with a 2x and stopping down two stops isnt much when you have f2.8
