Well...sort of :p

Just wondering if anyone has any improvements for this spec? Selling my current one minus hard drives for £650 (see sig) and with shopping around, I can get the price of this down to £720.

All opinions would be great!

Reviews seem to show the backplate and high flow bracket with the Superclocked model can cut a few degrees off load temps was my reasoning.

Love it, looks like a fabulous spec.

As said, you can save some money and still get a 470. Overclocking it yourself is easy. The EVGA budget one looks good as it still retains a whooping ten year warranty.

Apart from that, I assume you are going with a possible SLI in the future? Otherwise your 850W PSU is quite overkill.

Yes the psu and mobo were selected for the SLI capability. Spent ages debating modular vs non for the psu, but the price difference is pretty hefty!

I think it is worth it in the end. Airflow is improved and things look tidier (You wouldn't say that if you saw my PC) but it can be quite a difference particularly at the higher wattage end.

if your happy with paying that much more then go for it. If you do SLI then you will see some benefit I assume as the airflow seems to be better. One card will run hotter though.

Caved in and ordered, despite my current rig still sitting here.
Still, I have an agreed price with a mate for it and I know I'll be recieving payment in December so not too bad.

Went for the spec above, but swapped out the EVGA for the MSI 470. With shopping around, free shipping deals etc it came out at £685, so I'm pretty chuffed! Better than my current rig, and only cost me £35 in theory!

So, got this all finished today. Running P95 at stock just to see what the Megahalems is like...getting 25 degree idle and 45 degree full load! Ambient temps are 21 degrees...I'm amazed!
