Finally... Playstation 3 Vending Machine!

£9.09p for a Newish Blu-ray? Not convinced till I see it tbh. Machines like this already exist for digital music and dvds elsewhere and they are not usually cheaper.

Actually I was at Logan airport a few weeks ago, and the big blue electrical store over there had a vending machine in the airport selling headphones, SD cards, even Ipods!

If it means getting cheaper games then so be it. Companies dont exist specifically to keep people employed - they're in it for the money and nothing else.

What about the millions and millions of workers that are going to replaced by a machine? Its already happening in super markets will self serviced check outs.

If even 10% of those workers are half as gormless, rude, unpleasant and incredibly ugly as the mouth-breather that served me in the supermarket this morning then so be it.

(the above is obviously meant in jest, he was ****-ugly though)

Surely these machines could never take over shops, imagine the ques if a new game was released as each person waited at one machine.

And where are these machines going to be located?
And who refills them? Unless someone perfects transporter technology, you will still need people to refill the machine. Plus the companies will have to pay more for techie guys to program and update the interface, and they are paid more than a shop person is.

There are already rental machines like this and have been for ages.

From the size of it, it could only hold 1 or 2 of each DVD/BR/Game and then only a selectfew games, not the large quantity in stores, or online.

When i was in america in a hotel they had vending machines for dvds, mp3s, digital cameras good idea but just depends where they are placed and how often they are filled up.

lol what the hells a swimming bath?
What old folk call Swimming Pools :)
I don't see the point, I mean where are they going to place these? Swimming baths? :S

"Oh, gonna nip to Moorway's and buy a Blu-ray, brb"

XD

A lot of petrol stations in London and Train stations have vending machines. Seen rental DVD ones and some to buy headphones and other electronic crap. I guess train stations, petrol stations, airports would be good locations, still can't see the pricing being attractive though.
