Finally, proper PC gaming at a desk..!!

It's none of my business, but why have you been forced to game on the sofa? It's your life too... If I was married and asked never to game or go on the computer in a different room. Well I doubt we would have even made it to marriage!!!

Sorry, but your balls are in a vice my friend. You need to man up and live life how you like, not how you are told.

This thread has taught me a few things....

1) Haters gonna hate on Alienware
2) Iv_tecman has traded xfactor for a desk
3) Do not get a wife.

Get a wife, just one that loves you for the person you are, not one that has your balls in a vice and tells you how to spend your evenings haha.

Never have I had a gf tell me such sillyness, maybe a "fancy watching a film together tonight?". Never "You can't have a desk, let alone play on your computer in a different room".

Absolute stupidity.

Dominatrix?

Ah man I so wish that was true, you're lucky. I tell you I'll swap my missus for yours and see how far that gets you...

I've had my missus walk out with my 10 month old baby leaving nothing but a note saying "enjoy your games, I'm leaving as you don't care about me" trust me, its always been easier to just ease things in, my missus is an emotional lass, doesn't like to be ignored too long, thankfully as my daughter is now getting towards a year old and its starting to make my missus just appreciate time on her own I'm now starting to get away with a lot more then I use to..

my missus is a great mother, she has good qualities but she is emotional and doesn't like it when I would game when she was watching telly on her own.... Recently, as I've put a stop to rubbish on telly, shes been itching to watch her rubbish and found me out of the way means she gets more of what she wants...

funny that.. Stopped her watching x factor , soon lets me on the games etc.. Funny how that works. We do however watch movies and play some PS3 games together, like PS move for example..

Sounds like either you're an unemployed nerd who plays 24/7 or she's got you wrapped round her little finger.

I can tell which is more likely XD

Can you please name the ACER laptop model with 50% more power at half the price? Or are you talking absolute ****? Yup, thought so. ;)

Alienware - £1.5k

Asus - £750 (normally £850)

Equal power, 50% extra power was exaggeration I admit. Prices speak for themselves, though.

I'm not a hater, I'd chose an Alienware laptop over any other if money was of no concern, because they look awesome and I don't mind spending an hour or two wiping all the **** off it. Same as if I had custom built this rig, I'd of shoveled out a few extra notes for an Alienware case, but if you don't care about looks/branding, an Asus is a better choice, every time.

GTX 660M against the GT630M, they're not equal.

Custom laptops are the way to go.

£750 more for extra power you'd never use though. Wouldn't do it, at all.

Indeed, wish this rig was custom built. :'(

For £1,500 I bet you can custom build a laptop with the i7-3940XM and a GTX680 tbh.
