Hi,

Been a long time coming but looking to upgrade my 2600k and gtx 1080 system with the below. I play mainly sim racing and a couple of online shooters on a 1440p g sync monitor. Any advice on the below or tweaks, was looking to aim around the £1k mark but clearly nudged over a bit already...

Already have a decent case and an 850w PSU from current system.

Thanks

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,227.92 (includes delivery: £7.99)

+1 to the PSU question. Capacitors do age and noisy power can cause havock.

Why does that ram link say C40? Might be worth double-checking on delivery that it's actually C30.

That SE version of the Peerless Assassin is the downgraded version with fewer fins. I don't think it makes a huge difference but if you're looking at reviews for the "normal" Peerless Assassin then keep this in mind.
I'd probably spend the extra £5 for this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ther...n-140-white-cpu-air-cooler-coo-tlr-03289.html
Although the 9700x runs pretty cool anyway so ignore my ramblings.

You can still get 32GB (even white) under £100 (e.g. Crucial, Klevv), or a bit over with RGB (Lexar, Team).

Sapphire's Pure (if you're happy to go MATX) would save a few £10 on the board.

You don't need the thermal paste so that's another £5.
I was struggling to find cl30 for much cheaper, i'll have a look again.
Thanks

the saffire pure board there is a 850a full sized one that exists im basically pinning all of my hopes atm on ocuk stocking that one when it becomes more available
partly because it would match hte rest of my stuff but also because from what i gather its the same almost as the nitro one they do just well pure colours and aesthetics
which i pretty clearly like more than is remotely sensible or healthy as judged by my other choices

very much looking forward to someone on this forum getting either the nitro or any of the sapphire boards and hearing any feedback reviews seem really really positive from what i can gather
