Finaly down to two

I am finally down to two choices.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far.

For all round PC use (desktop, internet, web development, DTP and a complete mix of games GTA IV, FSX, various RTS games etc) I am hovering between either an IPS such as the 60hz Dell U2311H or going for 120Hz with the Asus VG236HE.

I don't hard play core FPS games on line. So would 120 hz be applicable to me?
What are the response times on the Dell?
Are 120 hz monitors soley aimed and marketed at FPS games or are there benefits for regular users like me too?

27" is too big for me to sit only 60cm away from. Do they do a 24" same spec as the 27"?

hmm thinking that I may end up going for the Dell at just over £200 and getting a 6950 to go with it.
