Financial dilemma - advice please

Sadly today something has occured which means i need a fair chunk of cash available. The only thing i can think of to raise a little cash would be to sell my photography kit. Unfortunately my cc`s are already too high to be of any use and whilst i know i`m going to lose money, i need to sell my gear :-(

My main question would be... Do i sell it as a mega bundle on ebay or do i split it into different sales ?

The list goes something like this >>

Canon 350D (1850 shots taken)
Canon 18-55 Kit Lens
Sigma 70-300 APO DG Lens & Hood
Sigma EF-500 DG Super Flashgun (1 week old)
Stofen Diffuser for above Flashgun
Canon BG-E3 Battery Grip (Genuine Canon - 1 Week old)
2 x Additional batteries (3 in total)
Hoya HMC Circular Polarising Filter 58mm (1 week old)
Hoya UV Filter 58mm
Bens Pizza XL Camera bag (blue)
Hoya full size tripod & bag

I`m not asking for offers of course but i`d like to know whether to sell as a package or not. I think it would make a great starter bundle for someone although i realise it would sell much quicker as seperate items.

What would you do in this situation ?

Cheers

Ade

Attn Mods: This is a genuine post with no intention to sell to forum members whatsoever, the above items will be put on ebay and all i`m looking for here is advice.

I'd look to sell that as a bundle and see how you fare, then try splitting into logical pairings - camera and lens, flash and diffuser, tripod and bag, etc.

Try AdTrader (if it operates in your area); I've managed to shift camera gear at around 10-15% higher prices than you get on eBay. You might even get away with listing individual items as well as bundles - seeing as it's free you might as well abuse the system a little bit!

Is there really no other way to raise the funds? Could you not sell part of your setup and borrow the other money?

Ouch :( and not wishing to cash in on your misfortune, if the items end up on the members market, I'll be all over half of them like a rash!

I agree offer to the forum members here in the MM once you have a price in mind, then stick it on ebay if it doesn't sell here.

Try selling it as a bundle as that would make a good starter set for someone.

you'll get more for it on ebay..its a sellers market. I just sold my 20d on ebay for more than you get get it new online.

split it up and stick it on ebay....especially if you need the cash

i would suggest you take it all to ebay. and sell seperately unless you can search and see a bid lot similar to yours going for good money - dont forget to factor in the final fees... i recently sold my canon 50mm mkI on ebay for more than i paid by emailing the 2nd higgest bidder on an auction and offered it to him for his highest bid. i saved the fees and he got the item for what he was prepared to pay. its not the way its supposed to be but if you selling high cost items its not a bad idea.

Guys, please don't start hinting that you'll buy this or that. It's also classed as trading outside MM, and is not allowed. If you really must talk about this, please use email.

As Adex has already stated, he's not posted this thread to try and sell his equipment. He's just after advice. Please respect that, and keep the "I'd be interested in XXXXX" comments out of the thread.

Thanks :)

I hope i`m not out of line here but after several days of trying to find a way to get out of my financial problems i`ve given in to the fact that i simpy cant do so unless i sell my photography kit :-(
I`ve also decided to stick it in the members market first to give people looking for a starter kit something to think about. If nothing happens then it will be going on the dreaded bay.
