We're just trying to find a new bed for my room now that i've moved back home after being away for several years. However, being assigned the box room (3mx3m) limits things somewhat! I'm just after a wooden bed (ideally oak, not light colours like pine), price at around £300 (though can go further if needed).

The ideal one is in Habitat, the Seville, however, if possible i'd like a 4ft small double, not a 4ft6 standard double. If anyone could find a simple looking (similar style to the Seville), 4ft small double, for under £500, then that would be fantastic :D

Personally, if you're after high quality and specifically a 4ft double, you can't go wrong visiting independent shops. The quality is always of a very high standard and you can get exactly what you want.
 
Might even be worth approaching a local carpenter. That way you can get the highest quality and exactly what you want. I'm not sure about prices although I do know that my ex-DT teacher does a lot of this sort of work, cheaply, during the school holidays.
 
I mentioned better quality than Ikea, but it still needs to be nearish to £300 really, so there's not much hope of someone building one properly for that kind of money :(
