I cant find a nice tidy simple clean solid desk anywhere! I've got a £200 budget!! it shouldnt be this hard :( just need it at least 150cm long and 80 deep

please help me:( ive been looking for 3 months

The Ikea Tables for £22 quid are pretty decent. (price is now 29, and it's only 120 wide..)

edit, or as above a table for £199 will do as well : )

I could use a wider desk of 150w x 60d and swap my Piano and current 90w desk locations around, I think I will swap my current stuff around first.

I want to connect both my monitors, but one is 1920x1200, the other 1280x1024, so no eyefinity yet.

<£50 is prefered :p.

Bought one of these last week, great quality & easy to assemble.

W1600mm x D800mm x H720mm

Looks like a Trexus Classic. I have one and I love it. Only problem is I moved house and the desk is absolutely huge and takes up a large part of the bedroom space. Heh. I was searching google for pics of the classic and my own image from an earlier overclockers thread came up. http://i33.tinypic.com/i2kiux.jpg

And bugger me @ the national office furnitures supplies price :| If it is a Trexus and I had room for another one, I'd get it at that price.

Is this one good? The low price makes it seem dodgy, it says max weight of 30 Kg, but thats plenty for 3 monitors:

Not available for sale on the website, I'd have to ask my pops to drive me there to the store in Leeds to get it.

Depending on the size of your monitors, it may be ok for you.

I can't seem to work out how I can fit my 3 24's on that table with my speakers. Its an excellent table and I've been using it for 2 monitors for maybe about 2 years.

Extremely sturdy table too. 30kg? I've had 2 monitors (15kg) and 2 CPU's (Raven01 22kg) and a (Alienware ALX Area 51 28kg) loaded on that desk before for pictures etc.

Hope this helps
Sam

Those are all good points to consider. My PC and Speakers would go on the floor underneath it, but monitors can be heavier than 10 Kg each, its just that my current one is only 7 kg.

And I cant be bothered with going to the store to get something as big as a table :x

I'll just keep my small desk and use 1 monitor.

...build one out of MDF?

I'm sure you could find one in an office clearance sale, or sometimes offices throw them out and you can just ask if you can have it out of the skip (which sounds really cheap, but it works)

Just make sure it's not been out since it's rained

Damn, i bought a desk from argos a few months ago which is exactly 80cm deep and 150cm wide for only £79.99.....just had a look so I could link it for you but they dont seem to sell it anymore :s

I'll have a browse and try and find it elsewhere.

Argos Morgan range? I have one, it's such a good setup, came to £180.

It's modular, so you choose the bits you want from the range and build it up, works really well.

got a costco desk - was wooden top - plain like an office desk - same sort of size too and i love it!think it was 60ish. and

I would suggest you get a nice solid wood worktop and add legs, you'll get high quality for under £200.

I've got 8m of solid, rubberwood worktop, cost me about £280.

My computer desk is 3m long and 720mm deep.

The worktops I got were 4m long, so you could create any size you want really.

You could get one worktop at 4mx720mm and make it deeper by using a biscuit jointer (something I'm going to do in the next few months with my computer worktop.
