All over the world...
Right been tasked with finding my uncle a rolling 30 day contract for about £20 a month. Hes not interested in a lot of mins but unlimited texts and 1gb+ of internet would suffice him.

So far ive had a look at tmobile and saw that they have a £10 a mth rolling contract whicch comes with min of mins, think its about 100 and 5000 texts but the kicker is the internet, for 1gb they want £10 extra on top and the 1.5gb internet comes in at an extra £20 a mth.

So i turn to you for your expertise....so do your worst OCUK:p

As i said hes not interested in a contract, he just wants a decent rolling sim plan as hes just paid off his contract and is on PAYG at the min.

Ill check back later and see what you lot have come up.

Giffgaff

unlimited internet
unlimited texts
250 mins
£10 a month

bargain!

Edit: although they seem to be having some network problems atm...

The Giff Gaff deal is effectively PAYG right? That absolutely destroys my Vodafone deal haha. I pay £15 for, 600 texts.. 200 mins and 300mb internet. Jokers. When Giff Gaff are stable again I'm definitely moving there.

Yep, only bad thing about them is that they've had two ~8 hour outages in 6 months, but other than that cracking deal :D

But the worst 3G or data

True

O2 coverage round here is very good, but 3g is dire. It's so bad I changed to 3 with 18 months of a 2 year contract left!

3s general coverage is very bad but I just just just get HSDPA at my house. That is why I am now on the £15 a month deal. I can't sign a contact because the H signal is so bad it could easily disappear from my house by anything getting in the way of the signal

Bed room = 1bar
Hall way = no signal!

3

£12 a month
300 mins
3000 texts
1Gb

Or you can pay £15 and get unlimited internet

That looks to be a winner, will pass the details onto my uncle and let him make up his mind but that seems to be the best deal so far.

Cheers Shami and the rest of you for your help.

Just done the same but only had 12 months left, ive gone for a 3 Sim 300 all you can eat for £15 1 month rolling to see if its suitable,

I have a 3 mifi dongle that im always impressed with in comparison to O2 so i should be ok

Will never be back to O2 for smartphones, its a waste of time

I'm on 3 Sim 300's £15 a month

3000 texts
300 minutes (because I wasn't using anywhere near 3000)
unlimited internet

No tethering, well not officially anyway

So you say tethering is not official but you can tether on this sim plan if you dotn take the proverbial??

3 detect tethering through Safari, not sure how but as soon as I try and use Safari on my iPad, using my iPhones connection the 3 "are you trying to tether page" comes up, as long as I don't use safari I don't have any problems, I downloaded Skyfire - an alternative browser that supports flash instead

I'm working up to changing my GG sim to a 3 sim, I feel I had stronger signal when I was with them and topping up is easier, everyone I know is with 3 so free 3 to 3 mins come in handy too. I've actually got a new 3 sim so as soon as my credit is over I'll switch.

Hmm interesting...ill let my uncle know, he doesnt use safari or anything apple wise. Just looking for a cheap rolling day contract to use with his Blackberry, dont think he would be bothered by tethering or not.

Tesco mobile tariff has now changed!! Think you need to top up by £15 a month now to get the freebies!
