Ok...CHALLANGE...

Budget is STRICT £7500 max (£7k and i'll kiss your.......!) I need as new, as low mileage as high specced as possible MG ZT CDTi 135+

Dont care too much about the colour..., but would like one with the nice half leather half grey suede/alcantara interior, and large boot spoiler (not lip spoiler)..

This message will (not) self destruct!

Thanks

Is it true that the Engine in these was donated by BMW? It seems to mention that on more than one advert on Autotrader.
Certainly would make them a bit of a bargain if so imho. Apparantly they are very nice cars....probably one of the very few nice cars Rover made in a long time.

Although a BMW engine, its not 'exactly' the same as the 320d.

The one in the ZT is based on the eariler BMW engine (136BHP) but has a different turbo and injection system.

The ZT doesn't have the BMW variable vane turbo which means it doesn't pick up as fast at low revs as the same BMW car. This problem is helped by a remap or tuning box though. The BMW engine also has an extra balance shaft.

And yes, in the current market, outstanding value for money considering the ZTs weigh fractionally less than the 320d but are larger...

Yeah, i've looked at both of those (not physically) the 80ker has no history at all, and if I was to go for any of them it would the titanium grey one with 40ish k in the clock, although the interior is not the one i'm particularly keen on...

What do you mean the spoiler!? I think the large rear spoiler really seperates it at the back from looking like a plain 75!!

Personally I would'nt think about ones with/without spoiler, just get one put on/taken off etc after you have the car. Could be missing a lot of possible cars trying to get one thats perfect.
