a) skt 775 mobo with onboard gpu
b) psu for a skt 775 mobo
c) intel p4 "524" 3ghz skt 775 cpu

thanks :)

so for I can get it all in for £105, can you beat that?

I am not really sure what you want us to do when you say "find you"... we can't link to other companies, or really mention the prices that they sell them for.

I would rather spend a bit more personally though, and get a E2160 + cheap MB and PSU.

CPU = 43
MB = 45
PSU = 30 or so

OK a bit more expensive, but much nicer performance, unless you just need to it for a media centre machine.

You'd have to wait for the motherboard to come back into stock and it is a bit more expensive but based on the parts Dark_Angel suggests it is a far superior system to the P4 based one.

but would the current 512mb DDR ram stick fit this new board?

You could if you wanted to use the asrock motherboard, which supports AGP PCIE and DDR1/DDR2 ram, but the system is far less clockable.

Still, its an option to think of.

With the price of RAM these days, it may be good if you could save up 200 in total, and then get RAM+cheap GPU+CPU+PSU...

But really depends what the system will end up being used for :)

Well, you still haven't told us what the system will be used for.

I personally would say 1GB is min these days, and 2 GB if possible.

As for brand, I myself like Geil, OCZ and Corsair...
