finding a bolt

I've lost a bolt holding down a connector in the fuse box and have contacted a dealer to find a replacement but have had no joy. I have the other matching bolt but what I want to know is there a place a can take it to where they'll measure it up and find the exact same one?

Just so typical of me to mess up such a simple job and people wonder why I'm reluctant to do anything myself now.
I think I'll try another Yamaha dealer, you'd think this would be pretty straightforward but nothing ever is.

Got a bolt from the Dealer and it's the right size but the wrong length, such a simple task has turned into a nightmare. This is really the last straw for me. I am never doing anything to any vehicle again, life is too short I'm just paying other people now.

Yeah I thought about that but i'd need a table clamp or something and I can't buy one just for this.

edit: Well it took pliers, a hacksaw and a nice cut on my knuckle but its done.

Wow where were you a few days ago man? That site is great they have the exact bolt there for £1.56, bit steep for a bolt but free delivery. Ordered one just to get rid of the weird cut black one I used as a replacement.
