Finding a decent mechanic/MOT centre

Hi guys,

I am fairly new to the Oxford area and am looking for a decent mechanic/garage for an honest MOT. Does anyone know any decent websites/forums with recommendations for garages/mechanics? Google hasn't really helped me here

I've heard that government run MOT test centres are a good bet, and have found one through my local council but they are booked up for the next two weeks and I need my test fairly soon.

Whereabouts are you mate? I use Farmoor Service Station for my car nowadays, they are very honest and extremely good value.

I'm just south-east of the city centre, between cowley and iffley roads pal.

Oh right. Well I haven't used any garages in the City except for my motorbike. Farmoor is about 5 miles out the other side of town from you,and they are on a major bus route into town.
