finding a new email address

hello,

I am looking to sign up for a new email account can anyone advise on a email provider that is free and allows it to be used with Thunderbird ie gives pop3 and stmp settings.

Gmail? Or Googlemail as its known in the UK.

gmail is indeed the daddy. but you don't need an invites anymore. you can sign up here....
