Hi,
I'm really quite fond of the Loakes/Barker range of shoes and but unfortunately I cannot seem to find any that actually fit, despite going to a dedicated shoe shop and trying a few on.
I'm a size 9 in designer shoes (I have two pairs of Derby’s at the moment, River Island and Dune) which fits well and are very comfortable. It seems that a size 8 in quality shoes is the right fit or me. However, I’ve noticed slight heel lift in all the ones I’ve tried which is annoying.
I managed to buy a few pairs of Loakes while on sale, one Oxford (E fitting) and one Derby (F fitting) but I’m getting heel lift. It’s less obvious if I tighten the laces but apparently there needs to be a lace gap as the shoes will stretch which will make the lift more apparent.
Is this common or should I resort to designer?
